Welcome to a Group Exhibition representing three generations of Iraqi artists at THE/ Main Gallery, Ohai, California- USA. Iraq has long been recognized as the center of visual arts in the Middle East and its art schools have produced dozens of internationally renowned artists who blend modern European influences with ancient Mesopotamian traditions. The exhibition was curated by journalist Nomi Morris, who wrote about Iraqi contemporary art as early as 1999. This show brings together three generations of Iraqi artists trained at Baghdad’s Institute of Fine Arts and Academy of Fine Arts.
